dated for 1887, with 33in. sighted barrel, plain receiver signed 'ENFIELD' together with the model designation and a 'VR' crown cypher, walnut straight-hand butt-stock. long under-lever (hole for short lever plugged), three-quarter fore-end, farsi markings to trigger-guard, front barrel-band with bayonet lug and original iron clearing rod.
