A COLLECTION OF THREE PERCUSSION SINGLE-SHOT POCKET PISTOLS,
all circa 1835-1850 and with Birmingham proofs, the first of American style with two-stage 3in. 80-bore barrel, rounded scroll-engraved action with central double-action only hammer-bar and smooth bag-shaped two-piece walnut grips, the second of standard form with a round 2 3/4in. 50-bore turn-off barrel, brass scroll engraved frame and chequered walnut bag-shaped grip and the last, similar but with octagonal barrel, iron scroll engraved frame and chequered walnut grip with flared pommel, all with some degree of restoration
