A SWISS SILVER SQUARE-FACED TRAVELLING WATCH IN AUTOMATIC REPTILE SKIN-COVERED PATENTED SLIDING CASE,
with import marks for 1924, the Swiss movement jewelled to the centre, with cream coloured square dial, luminous Arabic hour markers, outer tramline minute track, luminous sword and leaf hands, the centre of dial marked 'SHOCKPROOF', snap-on back, complete in its silver sliding-top case, the action of sliding the lid deploying the watch to a 45 degree angle, the case marked with Swiss and German patents and a makers mark of 'SD', the outside of the case covered in reptile skin (one small hole to rear)
Other Notes: The makers mark 'SD' is probably the retailers stamp of Sylvian Dreyfus 'Moise, trading as M. Dreyfus from Moorfield, London
