30in. nitro chopperlump barrels, ribs engraved 'J. PURDEY & SONS. AUDLEY HOUSE. SOUTH AUDLEY STREET. LONDON. ENGLAND.', and '1' and '2',( No.1 barrels replacements and No.2 barrels nitro reproved in 1977), 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/2 choke, self-opening actions with removable striker discs, automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, cocking-indicators, best bouquet and scroll engraving, brushed bright and reblued finish overall, 14 7/8in. figured replacement stocks (by the makers), weight 6lb. 10oz.

Provenance: The makers have kindly informed us that this pair of shotguns were completed with 30in. barrels in December 1921 for R.F. Watson. The makers subsequently re-barrelled both guns; the no.1 in June 1978 and the no.2, June 1950. They also re-stocked both guns in December 1978.
