A CASED 54-BORE PERCUSSION FIVE-SHOT DOUBLE-ACTION REVOLVER, MODEL 'ADAMS' 1851 PATENT', serial no. 20.426Y,
circa 1855, with octagonal 6 1/2in. barrel, the top-flat signed 'H. ALLPORT, CORK', dove-tailed bead fore-sight, standing notch rearsight on the top-strap, the barrel throat with scroll engraving, plain cylinder, border line and scroll engraved frame, the right hand side marked 'ADAMS' PATENT' together with the number, spurless hammer, one piece chequered grips, iron butt-cap with further scroll engraving, border and scroll engraved trigger-guard TOGETHER WITH its original English market case, the interior lined in green baize and complete with a number of original accessories including a copper-bodied bag-shaped flask, double cavity mould, cleaning rod and oil bottle, case good, pistol with traces of finish in sheltered areas
