dated for 1855, with round 26 3/4in. browned barrel, block fore-sight, no provision for rear-sight, plain border-line engraved lock signed 'TOWER' together with the date and 'VR' and crown to tail, military style three-quarter walnut straight hand stock with brass furniture, the toe of the stock stamped 'PRITCHETT, Board of Ordnance stamps and broad arrow markings to butt, 'Lovell's' bayonet catch to fore-end tip and iron ramrod
