circa 1853, with blued octagonal 7 1/2in. barrel, the top-strap signed 'BLANCH & SON, 29 GRACECHURCH STREET, LONDON', border line and scroll engraving to the frame and barrel throat, plain cylinder, one-piece chequered walnut grip, iron scroll engraved butt-cap with concealed cap-box, border and scroll engraved trigger-guard, the whole with a good amount of original finish throughout TOGETHER WITH its English market oak storage case, compartmented and lined in green baize, original parchment Blanch label to lid, the present accessories including a bullet mould, cleaning rod, oil bottle, flask, turnscrew and nipple-key, the lid with vacant brass escutcheon (escutcheon missing from lock)
