circa 1911-1915, with blued 5 1/2in. barrel, blued receiver with polished bolt, rear-sight graduated to 1000 metres, new-style safety, hammer serial-numbered but not marked with the new safety mark, milled frame and walnut bag-shaped grips with 32 horizontal grooves TOGETHER WITH a mis-matched but period walnut shoulder-stock holster serial numbered 065, and complete with a leather harness marked 'L. RITGEN KARLSRUHE 1917'
