CO 1871' beneath an ordnance acceptance stamp and a crown over 'VR' to the tail, walnut half stock, brass butt-plate with central trapdoor, brass trigger-guard, one iron barrel-band and no provision for clearing rod, some staining to metalwork and surface rust to muzzle
