for 1866, with slightly curving 32 1/2in. blade etched with scroll surrounding a Victorian crown over 'VR' to the centre of the blade, the hilt of standard form with later gold-plating, re-bound grip and complete with a bullion sword-knot TOGETHER WITH its steel scabbard with later silver-plating engraved with a 'WR' monogram to the throat
