29in. nitro chopperlump barrels with 6mm raised matt top-ribs, gold-inlaid '1' and '2' at the breech ends, side-ribs, over barrels engraved 'DAVID McKAY BROWN 21 HAMILTON ROAD BOTHWELL SCOTLAND', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/4 choke, hold-open toplevers gold-inlaid '1' and '2', automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, non-selective single triggers, actions and furniture finely engraved in high relief with scrolling acanthus scrolls and arabesques on a matted background, the makers name in elaborate cartouches, triggerplates signed 'Creative Art', bright and blued finish overall, 14 3/4in. highly-figured pistolgrip stocks including 7/8in. leather covered recoil pads, No.1 expertly repaired at hand, weight 7lb. 3oz.
Provenance: The makers have kindly informed us that this pair of shotguns were completed in May 2003 with 29in. barrels and single-triggers.
