converted from .375Ex., 27in. nitro barrel engraved 'HOLLAND & HOLLAND. 98. NEW BOND STREET. LONDON.' with ramp-mounted bead fore-sight, rear-sights and folding leaf sight, the breech end with quickly-detachable telescopic mount bases, Henry Holland and Thomas Woodward patent action, patent no. 17578 of 15th September 1894 with spring assisted push-forward underlever, manual tang safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, action with border engraving and foliate design with 'HOLLAND & HOLLAND' centre, retaining virtually full re-blacked finish, fore-end with horn finial, 14 1/4in. pistolgrip stock including 3/4in. rubber recoil pad, with cheekpiece, sling swivels, pistolgrip cap, weight 7lb. 14oz., in a full-length canvas and leather case

Provenance: The makers have kindly informed us that this rifle was completed with 26in. barrels in October 1902 for 'Mitchell'.
