circa 1840, with 1 5/8in. round barrels, scroll-engraved squared actions with central hammers, swept slab-sided walnut butts with chequered backs, oval silver escutcheons to the base engraved 'W.G. SUTTON' and concealed automatic triggers (exposed metal surfaces 'in the white')
