A 25-BORE FLINTLOCK DOUBLE-BARRELLED SPORTING GUN, SIGNED 'ADOUCE', no visible serial number,
French, circa 1780, with 33 1/2in. barrels, the top-rib with traces of a gold inlaid signature at breech-end, curved and radiused lockplated with raised carved detail and signed ' UIMPER' on the left lock and 'ADOUCE'' on the right, walnut chequered half-stock with swollen comb, iron heel-plate with carved borders, raised trigger-guard tang and pillar-fronted iron trigger-guard bow, bone-tipped replacement ramrod and fitted with swivels
