circa 1860, with heavy octagonal 31in. barrel, the top-flat inlaid in silver 'F. FUNK & COMP. IN SUHL', bead fore-sight with protective ears, adjustable rear-sight (blade missing), scroll engraved breech and top-tang, micro adjustable vernier peep-sight fitted to rear of top-tang, scroll engraved back-action lock with swinging safe forwards of the hammer, walnut full-stock chequered at the wrist, raised tear-drop cheek-piece, scroll engraved iron patch-box, iron heel-plate, pistol-grip spurred trigger-guard bow, double set triggers and possible original ramrod, iron surfaces brushed bright
