circa 1825, using Pauly's patent cartridge, with twist re-browned 30 1/2in. barrel, the breech-end signed 'INVENCION, INVENTEUR', diminutive bolt-handle with hinged dust-cover, engraved end to the receiver and top-tang, walnut half-stock chequered at the wrist (broken through and repaired), iron heel-plate, sliding crescent safe behind the trigger-guard bow, florally carved fore-end tip and fitted with iron swivels
