Belgian, circa 1800, with 33in. twist barrels, applied brass fore-sight, engraved top-tang incorporating a raised groove rear-sight, plain, slightly curved bevel-edged locks with semi-rain-proof pans and roller bearings for the frizzens, walnut half-stock with finely chequered grip panel at the wrist, carved lozenge cheek-piece, brass furniture including curved heel-plate with acorn finial to the top-spur, engraved scroll-gripped trigger-guard bow with acorn finials to the grip-tang and front of trigger-plate, horn band inlet to fore-end tip, brass ramrod throat and singular pipe, original ramrod with replaced bone tip
