26 1/2in. nitro chopperlump barrels (wall thicknesses below recommended minimum), the tubes engraved 'HOLLAND & HOLLAND. 98. NEW BOND STREET. LONDON.', the rib with a flash of foliate engraving at the breech end, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, self-opening action, the toplever with stylised feather engraving, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, hand detachable sidelocks, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, rolled-edge triggerguard, best fine 'Royal' engraving, the underside engraved 'ROYAL SELF-OPENER PATENT 1922', brushed bright finish, 14 1/2in. figured stock, weight 6lb. 2oz.
Provenance: The makers have kindly informed us that this shotgun was completed with 26 1/2in. barrels in 1931 for 'Button'.
