A RARE CASED .30-30 (WIN) LEVER-ACTION BOTTEGA C. GIOVANELLI ENGRAVED CARBINE, MODEL '1 OF 1000', serial no. 4436000,
for 1979, with blued round 20in. barrel inlaid with gold bands at the breech and muzzle, the side of the barrel signed in gold 'WINCHESTER MODEL 94 30-30 WIN and on the top of the breech 'ONE OF ONE THOUSAND', dove-tailed blade fore-sight, elevating carbine ladder rear-sight, deeply chisel scroll engraved receiver surrounding a central panel featuring an engraving of the 'Winchester' cowboy on a horse at full gallop on the left hand side and a stag within a background of scrolls on the right, all the panels bordered with gold lines, highly-figured finely chequered walnut straight-hand butt-stock with silvered crescent heel-plate engraved with scrolls and bearing the inlaid gold legend 'ONE OF ONE THOUSAND', engraved and gold-inlaid under-lever, highly-figured finely chequered walnut carbine fore-end with deeply scroll engraved barrel-bands and full-length blued magazine with engraved end-cap, the whole appearing little used COMPLETE WITH its manufacturers presentation full-length leather-covered storage case and a certificate signed by the engraver stating the limited edition status of the carbine
