A GOOD 18-BORE FLINTLOCK PISTOL WITH GOLD KOFTGARI DECORATION AND SILVER INLAYS,
circa 1840, with iron slightly swamped 13 1/4in. barrel, the breech and muzzle decorated with gold koftgari arabesques and bands, shallow carved sighting rib, gold koftgari-decorated slightly curved bevel-edged lockplate, hammer and hammer top-jaw en-suite (head missing from jaw screw), squared ribbed frizzen, carved frizzen-spring, wood full-stock fully inlaid with silver scrolled decoration, Turkish crescents inlaid to wrist and back of grip, long-eared silver butt-cap with hallmarks and an arabic makers stamp together with embossed and engraved decoration, iron trigger-guard tang and bow, false ramrod with applied silver pipe and throat (one missing) small losses to decoration and fore-end tip, some surface corrosion to iron parts
