circa 1800, with rebrowned octagonal slightly swamped 10in. barrel signed 'LONDON' on the top-flat, bead fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight and gold line at the breech, engraved top-tang, gold-line touch-hole. flat border-engraved lockplate signed 'CARTER', engraved hammer, semi rain-proof pan, roller bearing to the frizzen-spring, walnut full-stock with bag-shaped butt, white-metal engraved cap to the pommel, possible replacement iron trigger-guard, set trigger, pineapple finial, two take-down wedges with silver oval escutcheons and horn-tipped ramrod (small inlet repair to fore-end tip)
