25 5/8in. nitro chopperlump barrels with foliate engraved ramp-mounted bead fore-sight, sighting flat with open sights and fitted with a Zeiss Diavari-Z 1.5...6x42 telescopic sight in quickly-detachable claw mounts, the tubes engraved with belemnoid flashes of foliate scroll engraving at the breech ends, bolstered treble-grip action, toplever pierced with scrollwork, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'S' detail, hand-detachable lockplates with concealed flush fitting release lever, gold-washed cocking-indicators, gold-washed triggers, the front a set trigger, partially gold-washed internals, the action, lockplates and furniture carved with foliform scroll engraving set against a stippled matt background, 14 1/4in. highly-figured pistolgrip stock with fish-scale chequering, birdshead pistolgrip, the cap gold-inlaid with 'AWB' intertwined, sculpted cheekpiece, sling swivels, including 1/2in. horn buttplate, weight 10lb. 14oz. (including telescopic sight)
Other Notes: The rifle was featured on the front cover of the Deutsches Waffen-Journal in November 1985 (copy included in the Lot).
The Lot also comes with a framed, hand engraved presentation plaque from the engraver E. Seifert dedicated to the original owner of the rifle, dated 1984
