dated for 1916, with blued 4in. barrel, dove-tailed blade fore-sight, notch rear-sight to the rear toggle-link, the top of toggle signed 'ERFURT', blued receiver, blued frame, chequered walnut grips, all matching numbers except magazine (magazine chipped at base), speckled surface corrosion to the original finish, strong traces of 'straw' colour to ancilliaries
