for 1921, with 3 3/4in. barrel, blued, sighted slide marked 'PATENTED APR. 20. 1897. DEC. 22. 1903. and 'COLT'S PT. F. A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.' on the left hand side and 'COLT AUTOMATIC CALIBRE .32 RIMLESS SMOKELESS' on the right, plain blued frame with grip-safety, stamped with British military acceptance marks, black chequered hard-rubber grips with the legend 'Colt' and the 'rampant horse' logo moulded in, much original finish
