A .450 (BOXER) SIX-SHOT NICKEL-PLATED REVOLVER, MODEL 'PRYSE-ACTION', serial no. 7873 / 14,
circa 1880, with octagonal 5 1/2in. barrel, raised sighting rib signed 'WILKINSON & SON, PALL MALL LONDON', crescent fore-sight, notch rear-sight with applied triangular marker, push-button quick-release fluted cylinder, plain frame with twin 'Pryse' opening levers, cylinder and breech marked 14, one-piece chequered walnut grip (stamped with the 'serial number' at base), back of grip drilled with two holes possibly for an improvised shoulder-stock, iron butt-cap with lanyard ring, the whole retaining much original plated finish.
