26in. nitro chopperlump barrels, the left tube engraved 'DESENZANI & C. BRESCIA' and the rib engraved with a flash of scroll at the breech end, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/4 choke, hold-open toplever which conceals 'GM. GUSSAGO' inscribed in gold on the topstrap, manual safety with gold-inlaid 'SICURA' detail, articulated front trigger operating as a single trigger, rolled-edge triggerguard, best fine bouquet and scroll engraving, triggerplate signed 'F. Medici', bright finish, 14 1/4in. highly-figured stock (cracked and repaired at hand), weight 6lb. 6oz., in its makers lightweight leather case
Other Notes: The firm Desenzani & C. was founded some 70 years ago by Enrico Desenzani. In the 1930's Mr Desenzani worked closely with Franchi in the production of an over and under gun constructed along the lines of a Boss. The company was taken over by a Mr Gussago and a Mr Zulli and they currently hand build no more than 10 or so guns per year, fully bespoke.
