 A VERY FINE AND VIRTUALLY UNUSED TRIO OF 12-BORE ROUND-ACTION EJECTORS, serial no. 7481 / 2 / 3, 
  
 27in. nitro chopperlump barrels, ribs engraved 'DAVID McKAY BROWN (GUNMAKERS) LTD., 32, HAMILTON ROAD, BOTHWELL.' and gold-inlaid '1', '2' and '3', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/4 choke in all, J. Dickson 1882 patent treble-grip triggerplate actions, toplevers gold-inlaid '1', '2' and '3', automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, the fences finely chiselled in high relief with floral designs on a finely stippled background, the actions and furniture profusely carved with bold stylised acanthus and eriophyllous motifs on a matted background, retaining virtually full original colour-hardening and finish, 15 1/2in. well-figured stocks with semi-diamond grips and including 1in. leather covered recoil pads, weight 6lb. 10oz., in their fine two tiered brass-mounted oak and leather case with lift out barrel tray, full complement of brass, steel and hardwood accessories in a lift-out tray and hide-bound canvas outer  
  
 Provenance: The makers have kindly informed us that this trio of shotguns were completed in 1991 with 27in. barrels. They were engraved by Charles Lee and the case was built by Robert Ross.
