30in. nitro chopperlump barrels, rib engraved 'J. PURDEY & SONS, AUDLEY HOUSE, SOUTH AUDLEY STREET, LONDON. MADE OF SIR JOSEPH WHITWORTH'S FLUID PRESSED STEEL', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, some internal pitting, treble-grip action with hidden third bite, removable striker discs, side-clips, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, cocking-indicators, brushed and reblued finish, 14 3/4in. figured replacement stock, weight 6lb. 12oz.
Provenance: The makers have kindly informed us that this pigeon gun was completed August 1911 with 30in. barrels for Marcus Mudela.
