AN EXCEPTIONALLY RARE CASED PAIR OF 20-BORE PERCUSSION RIFLED POCKET-PISTOLS, MODEL 'DEVISME PATENT', no visible serial numbers,
of bull-pup design circa 1845, with deeply rifled twist-steel 5in. barrels, provision for fore-sight blades (missing), standing notch rear-sights, bulbous nipple-drums with large flash-shields, diminutive reversed-hammer plain locks running down the bag-shaped walnut grips, plain iron furniture including trigger-guard bow and integral trigger-plate, tang and nose-cap, engraved screws and take-down pins, the pair TOGETHER WITH their original 'Devisme' trademarked black embossed leatherette travelling case, compartmented and lined in dark green velvet in the continental manner and containing a 'sporran-style' round bodied powder-flask with ball decoration, a powder measure, a wood cap-pot and a scissors ball-mould
