25 3/4in. nitro reproved blacked twist damascus barrels, the smooth rib gold-inlaid with a flash of foliate scroll at the breech end, gold-inlaid '2' and 'SCHMIDL & H. ROEDL IN PRAG', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl and 1/4 choke, permanently attached fore-end, carved ornate percussion fences, non-rebounding back-action locks with carved faceted hammers (the right a replacement), spurred push forward underlever, horn pistolgrip, the action, lockplates and furniture carved in relief with foliate scrollwork interspersed with hounds on point, stag and hound, a brace of hare, and game birds, all set against a matt background, 13 1/2in. figured stock (crack to left underhorn) with sling swivels, cheekpiece, including engraved steel buttplate, weight 6lb. 3oz.
