A PAIR OF 40-BORE FLINTLOCK POCKET PISTOLS FOR RESTORATION, SIGNED 'A.C.', no visible serial numbers,
probably French or Belgian circa 1760, with two-stage 3 1/4in. barrels with cannon muzzles banded at the intersection, the sides of the breeches marked 'AC' with the letters separated by a star device, solid top-tangs, diminutive radiused lockplates (one lockplate cracked through behind hammer, the other missing frizzen spring), walnut full-stocks with swollen butts decorated with inlaid silver wire scrolls (one with loss forwards of lock), long-eared iron butt-caps, iron trigger-guards (one replaced) and iron ramrod throats (missing ramrods, chips, cracks and small losses to fore-ends)
