CHARLES LANCASTER -, In 1903 Patent No 7046 was sealed in the name of HAA Thorn, the firm's then director. Thorn had been indentured to CW Lancaster eldest son of Charles Lancaster. After purchasing the firm upon the death of CW Lancaster, Thorn went under the pseudonym of Charles Lancaster. As well as having many patents in his own name, Thorn Wrote "The Art of Shooting" in 1889 under the Charles Lancaster name. This Lot comprises:
a) The original Letters Patent No 7046 for Improvements in single trigger double-barrel guns, granted to Henry Alfred Alexander Thorn trading as Charles Lancaster and sealed by C.N Dalton, Comptroller-General of Patents, Designs, and Trade Marks on the 26 March 1903 in the reign of Edward VII.
b) The first published copy of Specification and drawings for Patent No 7046 of 26/03/1903 for Single Trigger Double-barrel Guns.
