1911 & 1912 - TWO CHARLES LANCASTER PATENT SPECIFICATIONS, for the same invention and granted to HAA Thorn in England and Belgium. As the managing director of Charles Lancaster & Co, Thorn was known as "Charles Lancaster" and wrote "The Art of Shooting in 1889 under this name as well as many articles in the sporting press of the day. This Lot consists of:
a) 6 April 1911-Published copy of written specification and drawing for patent No.12,057 for Improvements in "Under-and-over" Hammerless Ejector Guns.
b) 30 March 1912-The original Belgian Patent No 224,122 with full written
specification and drawing, in respect of "Perfectionnements aux fusils Hammerless a ejecteurs et a canons superposes", signed in Bruxelles by O Mavaut "Le Directeur General, Pour le Ministre et par delegation" on "le 30 mars 1912" together with a letter from patent agents, GF Redfern & Co dated.
