A BRITISH 1822 PATTERN INFANTRY OFFICERS SWORD FOR THE WEST ESSEX YEOMANRY SIGNED 'C.K.',
circa 1860, with 32 1/2in. Wilkinson style blade, etched with scrolls and arabesques with the 'VR' crown cypher to both sides of the blade, the right hand side also etched 'WEST ESSEX YEOMANRY', inlaid proof mark at forte, typical brass three-bar gothic hilt with the Victorian royal cypher in an oval panel, fold down inner guard, brass back-strap and wire bound sharkskin grip, complete with its iron scabbard, the whole cleaned
