circa 1855, with rifled twist-iron 27in. octagonal barrel, dove-tail for fore-sight (missing), standing notch rear-sight, the top-flat signed 'DOOLEY, RANELAGH STREET, LIVERPOOL', rounded muzzle, borderline and scroll engraved standing breech and action body, central hammer with hinged needle, table-tennis bat thumb-piece to the screw opener, sliding safe to the top-tang, walnut straight-hand butt-stock chequered at the wrist, iron heel-plate, replacement trigger-guard bow and integral iron fore-end, Belgian and London proofs.
