circa 1845, with octagonal 6in. twist barrel, the top-flat signed 'LONDON', dove-tailed bead fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight to the engraved top-tang, twin platinum lines at the hooked breech, platinum lined vent, border and scroll engraved bar-action lock with sliding safe behind the slab-sided, scroll engraved dolphin-headed hammer, walnut full-stock with chequered pistol-grip, flared pommel, vacant clipped corner rectangular silver escutcheon to base, similar to wrist but engraved with a beast's head above a wreath, border and trophy engraved trigger-guard bow, pineapple finial and captive iron stirrup ramrod beneath the barrel
