A FINE 54-BORE PERCUSSION SIX-SHOT DOUBLE-ACTION ONLY REVOLVER, UNSIGNED, MODEL 'WEBLEY-BENTLEY TYPE', no visible serial number,
circa 1855, with blued octagonal sighted 6in. barrel engraved with scrollwork at the breech, nickel dove-tailed fore-sight, multi-groove rifling, Birmingham proofs, case-hardened cylinder engraved with a band foliage to the leading edge, blued border and scroll engraved frame, case-hardened engraved hammer, blued hammer-safety mounted to the left-hand side of frame, blued trigger, chequered walnut grips, engraved back-strap and iron butt-cap with centrally mounted cap-box, sprung plunger rammer engraved with a flower-head to the front of frame and border and scroll engraved trigger-guard, much original finish throughout (blueing to frame and trigger-guard discoloured)
