28in. nitro barrels, the rib engraved 'WILLIAM EVANS. 63 PALL MALL. ST. JAMES'S. LONDON.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and full choke, treble-grip action, automatic safety, beaded border engraving, retaining some original colour-hardening and finish, 14in. stock cast and swept toward central vision (metalwork swept) including 1in. rubber recoil pad, weight 5lb. 14oz.
Provenance: The makers have kindly informed us that this shotgun was ordered in November 1926 with 28in. barrels. It was subsequently re-sold by them to Baron R. Beck in 1948.
