LONDON.' and '2', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, best bouquet and scroll engraving, brushed bright and blued finish overall, 15in. figured replacement stock, weight 6lb. 10oz., in a Brady canvas and leather case
Provenance: The vendor has kindly informed us that the gun was made as No.2 of a pair for Sir David Llewellyn, the pair costing £180.
The gun was subsequently bought second hand by the Vendor's stepfather in 1958 and given to him as a 21st Birthday present in 1962. The gun was re-stocked by Colin P. Smith Gunmaker (Late of J. Purdey & Sons) in 1981.
