circa 1810, probably from a pistol, of slightly curved flat form with rounded tail, border engraved with the signature in script beneath the rainproof pan, sliding safe behind the engraved hammer (hammer-screw missing), border engraved frizzen with roller-bearing spring, the whole darkly stained
