A FINE DETACHED LEFT-HAND FLINTLOCK LOCK MECHANISM,
circa 1795 and probably from a pistol, of flat, slightly curved form with pointed tail, border engraved with a musical trophy to the tail, the signature in block letters underneath the rainproof pan, engraved slab-sided hammer with lozenge-shaped top-jaw, sliding safe behind, border engraved frizzen with lozenge-shaped top, roller-bearing to the frizzen-spring and traces of original colour
