28in. nitro barrels, rib gold-inlaid '2' at the breech end, tubes engraved 'HOLLAND & HOLLAND. 98. NEW BOND STREET. LONDON.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. choke in both, bore dimensions marginal and wall thicknesses at 19, toplever gold-inlaid '2', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, border engraving, the underside with 'ROYAL HAMMERLESS EJECTOR', retaining some original colour-hardening and traces of finish, 14 5/8in. figured stock including horn buttplate, rubber cheekpiece insert, repair to right underhorn, weight 6lb. 2oz.
Provenance: The makers have kindly informed us that this shotgun was completed in November 1911 as No.2 of a pair for a Mr. Daw.
