dated for 1863, with 31 3/4in. barrel signed 'I. HOLLIS & SONS, LONDON' (faint), block and blade fore-sight, elevating ladder rear-sight, plain military-type lock dated and signed 'ENFIELD' with a crown over 'V.R.' stamp to the tail and various inspectors marks, walnut full-stock with exposed muzzle (old working repair at wrist), iron furniture including three barrel-bands, the front with bayonet bar, and original iron ramrod with threaded end
