circa 1855, with re-browned triple-staged 32 1/4in. barrel banded at the intersection, the top-flat signed 'THOS. THOMAS MERTHYR TYDFIL', twin white metal lines and scroll engraving at breech, border, scroll and game-scene engraved brushed bright lock, scroll engraved brushed bright dolphin headed hammer, chequered walnut half-stock, iron heel-plate, white metal fore-end cap and original mahogany ramrod
