A SCARCE 18-BORE PERCUSSION UNDER-HAMMER BREECH-LOADING TAKE-DOWN WALKING-STICK SHOTGUN, no visible serial number,
circa 1845, with 30 1/2in. round barrel including detachable plain 10 1/4in. muzzle-section, carved bands at the intersection, 36 1/4in. overall including wood walking-stick handle, provision for detachable shoulder-stock working on an interrupted thread (stock missing), rounded detachable boxlock under-hammer mechanism with border engraving, the top of action signed 'H. RICHARDS, 51 OLD HALL ST LIVERPOOL'
