A 25-BORE FLINTLOCK SINGLE-SHOT PISTOL SIGNED 'BLAIR & SUTHERLAND', no visible serial number,
circa 1790, with possibly slightly shortened 9in. two-stage barrel banded at the intersection, private proofs and makers mark 'B&S' at breech, solid rounded top-tang, flat, slightly curved bevel-edged lockplate signed 'BLAIR & SUTHERLAND', stepped tail, walnut full-stock with bag-shaped grip, circular escutcheon to top of wrist, brass trigger-guard with acorn finial and replacement wood rammer
