circa 1765, with brushed bright tapering 9in. iron barrel, solid top tang with rounded tip engraved with the date of model, slightly curved bevel-edged lockplate with arsenal signature, lozenge-shaped pan, walnut full-stock with iron furniture, inspectors initials behind the serpentine side-plate, substantial iron nose-cap with twin barrel-bands, probable original iron ramrod, exposed iron surfaces cleaned
