A PAIR OF 18-BORE FLINTLOCK SILVER-MOUNTED 'QUEEN-ANNE' SASH-PISTOLS, no visible serial numbers,
circa 1750, with 6 1/4in. turn-off iron cannon barrels signed 'LONDON' (frozen), the top of breeches signed 'I. DREW' (one barely legible), London proofs and the makers mark 'ID' to the undersides, boxlock side-hammer actions with carved 'L' shaped frizzen springs beneath the pans, engraved detached top-tangs, walnut bag-shaped butts with flared pommels carved with tear-drops behind the locks and floral carving around the top-tangs, pierced silver rococco side-plates, silver rococco bordered escutcheons to top of wrists, silver grotesque mask butt-caps and sliding iron trigger-guard bow safetys
