THE STOCK, ACTION AND FORE-END ONLY OF A GERMAN 16 BORE / 8,8MM DRILLING BY A SUHL MANUFACTURER, serial no 6633, under barrel previously smoothbored, matt rib with flip-up open sights, the breech end with quickly-detachable mount shoes, treble-grip action body with side-bolsters, the hand mounted with "shot" or "ball" manual selector switch, manual side-safety, cocking indicators, the lockplates engraved in relief with scenes of red and roe deer in wooded landscapes, the whole deeply carved with honeysuckle and foliage motifs on a matt background, 13 1/2in. figured pistolgrip stock (cracked at head) with horn pistolgrip cap, cheekpiece, hinged engraved ammunition trap with sling eyes and horn buttplate. The drilling was completed circa 1935
