AN EMBOSSED PENNY RED POSTAGE STAMP, 15 January 1864 , , bearing the image of the young Queen Victoria on the envelope containing a letter from Lord Norbury to MR LANCASTER at 151 Bond Street, London W. This embossed Penny Red postage stamp has been cancelled by the number 1967. On the envelope's flap can be seen Lord Norbury's five-balled crown (representing his earldom) with an "N" below. The letter is one of complaint. Lord Norbury believes he has been treated unfairly as the agreed allowance of £15 has not been deducted for the gun submitted in part-exchange. Lord Norbury is adamant that "… the price charged not being such as you indicated to me…"
